Introductory GMRS Radio Classes

Do you have a new FRS or GMRS radio and aren’t sure which buttons to push?  If so, this introductory class is for you. 

The class will cover basics such as turning the radio on, selecting different channels, proper techniques for communicating, listening to NOAA weather channels, etc.  The one hour class will be a mixture of informal lectures and hands-on exercises. 

SWP will offer introductory classes on radio operation in conjunction with the May Clinton and June Bayview Champion meetings:

The May class will be held Thursday, 5/21 at 12:30 at the Clinton Community Hall followed by the Neighborhood Champions meeting at 2:00. 

The June class will be at the Bayview Fire Station on Wednesday, 6/17 at 4:30 ahead of the 6:00 Neighborhood Champions meeting. 

Be sure to bring your radios with charged batteries.
