An introduction to the use of FRS and GMRS radios will be held prior to the SWP General Meeting. The class will include initial set-up of the radios, entering and changing channels, best practices for communicating, listening to weather channels and other public service frequencies, and other general aspects of radio use. The focus will be on the BTech GMRS V2 radio that many SWP operators have purchased but will be applicable to other radios as well.
Be sure to bring your radios with charged batteries as there will be lots of hands-on training..
