Join Maddie Buehrer with the Whidbey Island Conservation District for a 2-part workshop focused on reducing wildfire risk in our community—Part 1, classroom on April 2nd; Part 2 will be a field trip to a home for hand-on experience, date to be announced.

You’ll learn how to assess your home, and help your neighbors assess theirs, for wildfire vulnerability, understand the key factors that influence a home’s survival, and explore practical steps to increase resilience. Together, we’ll cover the fundamentals of home risk assessment, actionable mitigation strategies, and what it means to become a Firewise community.
