Join Maddie Buehrer from the Whidbey Island Conservation District for a two-part, hands-on workshop focused on reducing wildfire risk in our community. You’ll learn how to assess your home and help your neighbors assess theirs for wildfire vulnerability, understand the key factors that influence a home’s survival, and explore practical steps to increase resilience. Together, we’ll cover the fundamentals of home risk assessment, actionable mitigation strategies, and what it means to become a Firewise community. Part 2 will be a practicum at a participant’s home, April 9, 2-3:30 pm. Details will be provided during class on April 2nd. Registerdirectly with the Whidbey Island Conservation District.
